MOTM - Pete Darlow

Each month a member will be selected and grilled with some questions!

This month it's Pete Darlow. Younger brother of Steve, featured previously, Pete is a keen club member who has recently become a Marshal and travels long distances to be at our club events.

So step up to the microphone Steve so we can ask you the questions:

1. Who are you?

2. When and where were your born?

20 January 1963 in the town of Kenilworth in Warwickshire

3. Where do you work?

A company called CEVA logistics, which is in Wellesbourne. I work as a Traffic Operator.

4 How long have you been off-roading?

18 months

5. How were you introduced to the sport?

I went along to Avon Dassett one day to see what my brother was up to and got hooked!

6. What are you currently driving off-road?

A short wheel-based series 3 Land Rover.

7. What is its current specification?

Standard with bigger wheels and a suspension lift.

8. What is the best modification you have done?

I have practically renewed every part since I purchased it, but the best feature is the winch I installed.

9. What is the worst modification you have done?

Not found one yet!

10. What is the best thing that has happened to you whilst off-roading?

I’ve met lots of new friends and have lots of fun playing in the mud.

11. And the worst.....?

Probably the worst is the long distance travel in a series 3 Land Rover (bit shaky!) and cleaning it afterwards.

12. What have you learnt through off-roading that can be applied to life in general?

Having Fun whilst doing something I really enjoy.

13. What do you do to relax?

I like nothing more than spending the day getting oily fixing or modifying my Land Rover

14. What music do you have in your car at the moment?

BBC Radio 2

15. Whats next for you and your 4x4?
